Farm Photography Session

Calling all photographers! Book your farm photoshoot TODAY with our amazing farm animals, and look out for key times for baby animals, too! You can take in all the gorgeous farm-landscape scenery in any season on top of the hill! There are a variety of scenes folks may find appealing for their very own photoshoot experience: old and rustic barns, hay, open fields, forest, animals of all kinds, gardens, and greenhouses, and so much more!

You will have your very own farm staffer who will bring you to the key photography locations on the property and be with you and your group for the photoshoot and handle animals when necessary.

Sessions range from $50 for a one-hour session to $100 for 2 hours of all-inclusive visual access here at Cold Spring Farm. As a photographer, you are welcome to bring a client group of up to 5 people per session. For larger groups, please contact us to make arrangements. *We provide the photo opportunities and you provide the photographer!

All sessions are weather-permitting and can be rescheduled, but no refunds are given. If you have to cancel, please consider your fee a donation to the farm. In cases of extreme weather, events can be rescheduled with 48-hours notice.

After booking a session, please email us at events@coldspringfarmct.com to let us know what specific scenes you are looking to photograph and the type of photo session it is (i.e. engagement, new baby, family, professional, etc.). Thank you and we’ll see you on the farm!

COVID-19 STATEMENT:

We are happier than ever to welcome you back for the 11th season of the Colchester Farmers’ Market!

COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on our communities, our businesses, our families, and our economy overall. It has been a trying time for many folks, and the time has come for us to provide everything we can to everyone we can.

Farmers’ markets around the country will not be open this season to serve their communities.

We want you to know that as your Market Masters, we are absolutely 100% committed to providing this ESSENTIAL ACTIVITY during this crucial time in our lives.

Why are we so committed?

Our local markets are vital to the local communities we serve, providing venues to buy healthy, local food, and opportunities to shop while practicing social distancing. It is more important than ever for our customers to connect with the people who grow their food, and make their products, and to buy as close to home as possible. The closer to home these sources are, the fewer hands have touched the food and the products, providing the SAFEST AND HEALTHIEST way to purchase food and goods.

With this said, it is absolutely vital that WE ALL adhere to the health and safety standards identified by the CDC and our local health department in order to provide a safe and reliable source of nutritious foods. To do this properly, we must be thinking differently about how to best deliver the very best to our communities. Practices and procedures will be in place to ensure a safe environment for our market staff, volunteers, farmers, and vendors while providing a safe shopping experience for our customers.

Please visit our website for Market Guidelines & Rules of the Market.

Come Fly-A-Kite

EVENT UPDATE: We have moved this to June 6th, because of bad weather.

Come Fly-A-Kite at Cold Spring Farm! This is the perfect #SocialDistancing activity for all you avid kite-flyers out there! Space is limited due to COVID-19 protocol, so please note we will rotate the schedule for this event over the summer to keep our guest numbers under 10 per event.

We have recently completed Round #1 of haying, and as we continue to hay our fields throughout the summer season, we will continue to offer more opportunities, as we would love to see your lovely kites in the air!

For a small donation to support the farm and its dedicated staff, we will schedule each group of 4 or fewer, a 1.5-hour block with a limited number of other families, to offer plenty of distance.

This event will take place on Friday nights, once on June 5th and once on June 12th, both starting at 6:30 pm and ending at 8:00 pm. Each evening’s guests will meet at the Farm Stand parking area where a CSF staff person will guide you to the correct location.
