Welcome to Kids On the Farm 2025! Ages 5-12 Registration is open for this one of a kind summer experience for your child. Whether they’re an entrepreneur, an explorer, an outdoorsman, you will find it all at Cold Spring Farm.

Children will need to be prepared with sunscreen, a snack, water, and appropriate clothing and footwear. These are rain or shine experiences so dress accordingly!

Session options are all listed so parents can select the sessions that are of interest to their child. Discounts are given for siblings and if the parent stays with their child. Select from the drop down menus and get ready for Kids On the Farm 2025!

Cold Spring Farm’s Kids On the Farm Staff are certified in First Aid.

Fantastical Fairies- kids will work with their fantastical wildcrafting skills while making woodland wands, crowns, and wings. Solving riddles, finding fairy doors on a farm scavenger hunt, creating fairy houses, and concocting “fairy potions” will all be part of this Fantastical Fairies adventure! Bring your imagination!

Build Your Own Farmstand- kids will design and paint their own farmstand signs for their harvested, cleaned, and packed farm items for their mock farmers’ market under the farm tree! Sure to be an unforgettable memory!

Farmer in the Morning/Afternoon- feed the chickens, collect eggs, feed pigs, and feed the sheep for this morning as a farmer. There will be an animal themed scavenger hunt, where kids will collect items to build their farm. They will participate in gardening activities and learn what it really takes to be a farmer!

Sticks and Stones- a very imaginative opportunity for kids to engineer their own woodland fort. Kids will discuss and plan a model of their woodland fort, then execute the design in real life! Teamwork, collaboration, and perseverance will come into play for this adventure!

Spectacular Seeds- Seed Bombs Away! This one is all about gardening. Kids will learn about edible seeds, such as sunflowers, amaranth, and popcorn! They will craft recycled plant tags, build seed mixes, and decorate seed packets, even starting their own seed trays!

Early Birds Gets the Worm- We’re going on a worm hunt! Collect items to create worm farms, identify birds while collecting data, and build nests for our feathered friends! An adorable yet educational experience for any nature lover!

Insects and Pollinators- farm walk and data collection used to invent new super insect species! A farm scavenger hunt will allow kids to forage and find materials to then create the perfect bug hotel habitat for their insect friends!

Sensory Sensation-HERBS- kids will harvest and collect fresh herbs around the farm then sort and separate them to make blends and flavors with personalized labeling. Using the herbs, they will create herb butters and infused oils. Painting and writing will be a part of their special experience, and so will product sampling! Bring your tastebuds!

Fabulous Flowers- collected flowers for pressed floral t-shirts? Say no more! Kids will make pocket flower presses, personalizing them to their liking, then collecting flowers to add in! Kids will use paints made of plants for their medium. There will be samples of homemade Sun Tea as well!
