Teens On the Farm (Ages 13-17)
Welcome to Cold Spring Farm’s Youth on the Farm Series 2025! Registration is open for this one of a kind summer experience for your child. Whether they’re an entrepreneur, an explorer, an outdoorsman, you will find it all at Cold Spring Farm.
Children will need to be prepared with sunscreen, a snack, water, and appropriate clothing and footwear. These are rain or shine experiences so dress accordingly!
See session selection descriptions below to help you decide which will be of interest to your kiddo, or register for all! See you On the Farm! Our Youth On the Farm sessions are split into age groups: Littles on the Farm (Ages 2-5), Kids on the Farm (Ages 6-8), Tweens on the Farm (Ages 9-12), and Teens on the Farm (Ages 13-17).
Teens on the Farm Sessions:
Invasive Herbariums- Join us for an immersive invasive plant identification adventure! Teens will explore our forest to identify and collect cuttings from invasive plant species. After exploration, they’ll craft their own herbarium books, labeling and mounting specimens while applying their plant identification and preservation skills! The experience ends with a personalized, handmade herbarium book to take home!
Edible & Incredible Herb Infusions- Explore the world of herbs! Teens will take a guided herb tour of the farm, learn about each plant’s culinary uses and benefits, and craft their own sun tea, infused oils, and creative pestos. The session ends with a tasting and recipe swap, complete with homemade labels and shared samplings on fresh bread.
Please see our policy for handling scheduling conflicts which is outlined in the registration forms.
